Omar Imady is a Syrian-American-British scholar, novelist, and poet. Born in Damascus to an American mother and Syrian father, he has resided in the UK since 2012. His award-winning novels and poetry collections explore themes of faith and the existential search for meaning. His earlier scholarly works focused on Syrian history and politics; more recently, he has developed a new hermeneutic for a contemporary and relevant reading of the Quran.
